St. Martinszug | Barweiler

Traditional "St. Martin parade" where children and their parents walk with laterns along the streets.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with an atmospheric torchlight service in the parish church. Together, everyone gets in the spirit for the St. Martin’s procession—with songs, lights, and reflections. At 6:00 p.m., the St. Martin’s procession sets off from the church. Led by St. Martin and accompanied by children carrying their torches, a colorful sea of lights winds its way through the streets—accompanied by music from the Hoffelder Bergmusikanten and the Barweiler Volunteer Fire Department—past lovingly decorated houses adorned with colorful lanterns. A celebration for the whole family
