St. Martinszug | Eichenbach

Traditional St. Martin`s parade where children and their parents walk with laterns along the streets, in front of them a man on horse who plays the roman soldier Martin who later became bishop of Tour (in France).

The St. Martin’s torchlight procession begins at 7:00 p.m. at the “Zum Wiesengrund” inn and winds its way through the town, accompanied by music from the Limbachtaler Musikanten, to the St. Martin’s bonfire, where the traditional “Weckmänner” are handed out to the children. Warming hot drinks will be available by the bonfire.
