St. Martinszug | Pomster

St. Martin leads the procession, accompanied by many children carrying homemade lanterns.

The St. Martin’s procession begins at 2:45 p.m. at the entrance to the village (coming from the direction of Barweiler). Led by St. Martin, the procession winds its way through the village—illuminated only by lanterns—accompanied by music from the Limbachtaler Musikanten, on its way to the St. Martin’s bonfire. Families with children join the St. Martin’s procession carrying their glowing lanterns. The children can look forward to a delicious Weckmann and some children’s punch. For the adults, a mug of mulled wine is available to warm them up. Afterward, the St. Martin’s procession makes its way back through the festively lit village to the community center.
