Fair and Waffle Festival in Honerath—Enjoy the Tradition!

As the name suggests, the Waffle Festival is all about traditional waffles baked in old waffle irons over an open fire. In addition to the original Honerath recipe—which remains a closely guarded secret—there are now other varieties, such as potato waffles and nut waffles.
The festivities kick off on Saturday,, at 5:00 p.m. Plenty of culinary delights will be on offer. The celebration will be filled with music and good cheer.
On Sunday, the festivities continue at 11:00 a.m. with a hearty morning beer. Starting at noon, in addition to all kinds of delicacies from the charcoal grill and the famous Honerath cake buffet, hearty and sweet waffle specialties will also be on offer.
