The new year has barely begun, and a special winter excitement is already taking hold in Antweiler: The local chapter of the Eifelverein invites hiking enthusiasts and nature lovers to an atmospheric winter hiking day. The event kicks off at 10:00 a.m. at the Eifelverein hut on the old railroad grounds above the Ahr River. From there, two varied hiking routes wind through the wintry Eifel and Ahr Valley landscape—with two routes to choose from, perfectly tailored to different fitness levels.
Whether it’s glistening hoarfrost, crisp winter air, or time spent in the hut—this day promises exercise, new encounters, and the authentic Eifel atmosphere.
